AIを利用した類義語比較 — develop vs foster

「スキルを育成する」という日本語の英訳を考えた場合、「育成する」という動詞として何が適切かを考えて見た。

現在はすでに販売が終了したソフト「Logophile」を使って、『ランダムハウス英語辞典』（小学館）で「育成する」を検索させたところ、動詞としては下記の単語がヒットした。なお下記では、それぞれの単語で「育成する」にヒットした語義説明・例文もあわせて紹介している。

  1. cradle　－　「育てる,育成する,保育する」

  2. cultivate　－　「〈芸術･科学･産業などを〉奨励[育成]する」
