Let’s look at justthree letters for now: R, T and A. Now keep in mind guys,I’m not an American but I’ll give it a try.The sound of R is stronger in American English. Forexample “heart” or “hair” or “chair”. British people say“heart”, “hair” and “chair”. Notice that R is not as strong.In the middle of a word, it can be pronounced like a fast Din American English. So, for example, “better”, “water”,“title”. And British people say “better”, “water,” “title”.Notice the T is stronger in some words.The letter A is pronounced differently in British andAmerican English and vary from word to word. So, forexample “glass”, “grass”, “ask”. British people say“grass”, “glass”, and “ask”.
